Ibra wa Khayt-i.e.‘needle and thread’in Arabic-is our project to collaborate with Syrian women to help re-establish their lives, using these simple tools.

The Ibra wa Khayt Project

As the crisis continues, millions of displaced people need to find new ways of supporting themselves. To add to their burden, many families have lost their livelihood or their principal income earner.

In this difficult situation,Syrian women are seeking to support and care for their families by using their own skills. We,Ibra wa Khayt,a group of professional women who have worked or lived in Syria, decided to assist them with some simple implements, such as needle and thread, so they can rebuild their future.
